Autumn Equinox Drum & Song Ceremony
An Evening of Sacred Drumming, Songs & Community
As Summer Gives Way to Autumn…
On the Equinox… the Earth reaches a moment of perfect balance.
For one brief moment each year, day and night stand in balance before we move into the darker half of the year.
It’s a beautiful time to pause, gather in community, and remember our connection with the earth, the seasons, and one another.
Join us for an evening of sacred drumming, traditional songs, meditation, and community as we honor this ancient turning point together.
Whether you come seeking peace, connection, healing, or simply a meaningful way to welcome the new season, this gathering offers a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of shared rhythm.
Meet Your Guide: Rayah Sunshine, Song Carrier & Ceremonial Artist
Rayah Sunshine is a song carrier, ceremonial artist, and guide devoted to helping people reclaim the power of their authentic voice.
For more than two decades, she has explored the transformative potential of song, rhythm, prayer, and earth-based practice as pathways to connection, healing, and belonging.
Through community singing, drumming, and sound-based experiences, Rayah creates welcoming spaces where people can rediscover the joy, freedom, and medicine of their own voice.
For this special Autumn Equinox gathering, Rayah will weave together traditional songs, rhythmic practices, and heartfelt guidance to honor the changing of the seasons. Together, you’ll celebrate a time of balance, gratitude, and renewal through an evening of music, reflection, and shared experience.
Whether you’re an experienced singer or have never sung in a group before, you’ll be welcomed exactly as you are.
What You’ll Experience in The Ceremony
During this special Autumn Equinox gathering, you’ll be invited into an evening of rhythm, song, connection, and community as we celebrate the changing season together.
Throughout the evening, we’ll gather around the big drum to:
- Learn and sing songs from various traditions
- Experience original Wild Origins songs created to inspire connection and joy
- Honor the Four Directions and the elements through simple ceremony
- Discover the power and beauty of many voices becoming one
- Connect with yourself, others, and the natural rhythms of the season
No musical experience is necessary.
You don’t need a “good voice”… only a willingness to participate. Some songs are simple and repetitive, making them easy for everyone to join.
Others naturally unfold into beautiful harmonies as the group sings together, creating a shared experience that is both uplifting and deeply moving.
If you have a drum, rattle, or another simple percussion instrument, you’re encouraged to bring it.
We’ll also have a variety of instruments available for everyone to use.
Families are welcome! Children under 12 may attend free when accompanied by a registered adult.
Who Should Attend?
This evening is for anyone who feels called to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate the changing of the seasons in a meaningful way.
Whether you’re new to community singing or have participated in ceremonies for years, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, supportive, and inclusive space.
